Personality: While on the surface she seems like the typical well-raised daughter of a nobleman, Rosetta has learned to conceal her burdens and bear them alone. With the death of her mother, and her father's inability to provide the love she needed growing up, she has no clear purpose in her life. Meeting Klaus, however, brings the most unexpected changes in her view of the world and teaches her that sometimes life can be magical even without spells.
A/N: Rosetta is the equivalent of the game's main character, however she has a different personality and is her own character rather than a copy.
Klaus and Elias Goldstein

Personality: So here we have the famous (or infamous, depending on who you ask) Goldstein brothers - Klaus on the left, and baby-Elias on the right. As you can probably already tell, there is an age gap between them; they're not twins, as many people seem to mistakenly believe. I won't delve much into their personalities, because you'll get to see them developing as the story progresses, but overall they're both pretty much the tsundere type. Those who watch anime or play otome games know exactly what that means.
Lilair

Personality: Looking like a crossbreed between a rabbit and a dog, the Lilair behaves much like Man's best friend. Originating in the Ilgatto region - known best for its Spellsingers - this cute little critter now faces the risk of extinction due to heavy hunting for its tail hair, which makes the perfect strings for musical instruments. Its trusting nature and quick attachment to humans makes it an easy victim for poachers. With a dwindling population out in the wild, nowadays its best chance at survival is in Academy greenhouses such as the one in Gedonelune.
A/N: The Lilair is not a creature you will encounter in the actual game, but a creature I thought of after seeing this wonderful piece of art.
Azusa Kuze

Occupation/Title: Exchange student
Special abilities: Hailing from the Kingdom of Hinomoto, Azusa is quite possibly the kindest and most gentlemanly student to ever enroll in Gedonelune's Magic Academy. However, at times his expression does betray the fact that all this might just be a facade and that he harbors a completely different personality underneath.
Headmaster Randolph & Conrad Schuyler

Personality: A startling contrast for anyone who knows them both, the Headmaster of the Magic Academy and Professor Schuyler seem like night and day. While Randolph has a cheery, laid-back attitude and is considerate toward his students, his good friend is the exact opposite. Known to shout most of the time and to rarely praise his students when they succeed in their tasks, Schuyler is feared and disliked by most of his pupils. Underneath that cold mask, however, he is perhaps more similar to Randolph than he would care to admit.
Cukat

Special abilities: Unknown
Personality: Commonly found in prairies, where the rocky terrain helps them blend in and hide from predators, the Cukat is an animal on the verge of extinction. Due to the powerful healing properties of their fur, they are very sought out by poachers in spite of several laws meant to protect them. The Academy of Gedonelune houses a few specimens in an attempt to preserve their species for future generations. As its name suggests, the Cukat shares some similarities with actual cats, the most obvious one being their habit of purring when they are happy.

Amelia Nile

Personality: Rosetta's roommate at the Academy, Amelia is a sweet natured, easygoing girl. Having taken a strong liking to Rosetta upon meeting her, she is gradually convincing the young Whitehorn to open up to her by proving to be trustworthy and supportive. Though she never made it a secret that she too fancied Klaus - like most of the other female students - she harbors no jealousy or resentment toward Rosetta. Instead Amelia always encouraged her to not give up whenever she felt that Klaus was too demanding of her.
Lyla Whitehorn

Age: 35 (at the time of her death, eight years before the story)
Special abilities: Unknown
Personality: Born from one of the oldest unicorn bloodlines in the kingdom, Lyla grew up with stories of how her ancestors helped the First King settle in what would later become Gedonelune and how the Whitehorns forever remained loyal friends to the royal family, even after the rift created between her race and the humans inhabiting the kingdom.
During her stay at the Academy, she met Remus Locke who became her Buddy. On the day of his Judgment she promised that if he passed and stayed to continue his studies, she would later marry him - by then Remus was already so in love with her, that he had no trouble passing his Judgment. Returning his feelings, Lyla worked tirelessly to have her family accept him despite his human origins. Eventually, they were given permission to marry only after Remus agreed to take on the Whitehorn name - as the family had no male heirs to bear it to future generations.
When Rosetta was ten years old, Lyla one day disappeared into the forest near the estate. After almost a month of desperate searches, her lifeless body was eventually found and buried in the flower garden she had loved dearly.

Remus Whitehorn

Occupation/Title: Crafter of magical items
Special abilities: None
Personality: Born Remus Locke, he eventually took on the Whitehorn name in order to marry the love of his life, Lyla. Fifteen years before the story, his long friendship with Walter Goldstein came to an end after Randolph recommended the latter to the royal family as the main supplier of magical items. Since then the two families have openly despised one another and soon their feud spilled into every aspect of life, not just business.
Devastated in the wake of his wife's untimely death, Remus withdrew from family life, cutting ties with Lyla's sister, Mira and her daughter, Elaine and leaving Rosetta in the care of the family's servants. Having confined his child to the estate grounds during her childhood, it came as a surprise to his household when he allowed her to enroll in the Magic Academy.
Beneath his grief and sorrow, however, he loves Rosetta more than anything and would give his life without hesitation for her sake.

The Goldsteins

Personality: Descendant of a very prestigious bloodline, Walter spent his childhood tinkering with everything he could get his hands on - a habit he picked up from watching his father at work. Growing with a strong desire to take his family business to new heights, he enrolled in the Academy where he met Aurelia, the only other Veela there. Though not paying her much attention at first, as he was much too absorbed in his dream, Aurelia's unrelenting attempts to befriend him eventually led to Walter having a change of heart.
After marrying Walter, Aurelia gave up on finishing her studies when she became pregnant with Marius, the eldest of their children. However, she wholeheartedly encouraged her husband to not follow the same path. With her support Walter ultimately saw his dream fulfilled when Randolph recommended him as the main supplier of magical tools for the royal family and, by extension, the kingdom. Though it pained him that his success came at the cost of his friendship with Remus Whitehorn, he could not bring himself to regret building a better future for his children.
A/N: Among the Goldsteins, only Walter is mentioned by name which means that Aurelia and Marius are - partly at least - my own creation.
Marius Goldstein and Elaine Whitehorn

Personality: The eldest son and heir to Walter Goldstein, Marius is much like Klaus in personality - intelligent, driven, caring and hardworking. He is currently training to one day take over his father's business, and has become a role model for many employees.
His meeting with Elaine happened by pure chance, when he was out riding. Happening upon a clearing in the forest near the estate, he saw Elaine surrounded by children from the nearby town and found her to be "more enchanting than any Veela", as he himself has stated numerous times. Though his father initially opposed their relationship, Elaine eventually won him over and received his blessing to become part of their family. The two are currently engaged but have not yet set a date for the wedding, due to Marius' training.
A/N: Marius is not a character you will encounter in the actual game (to my knowledge) except when he is mentioned by Klaus but without a name. Elaine as well, is only mentioned and shown in a non-descript picture where she has chestnut hair.
