Though the trauma of his beloved's untimely death nearly destroyed him, he assumed the terribly difficult task of raising their daughter. His newlyfound fatherly feelings - while not healing his heart after his loss - pushed him to better himself, as well as the world around, for the sake of his child.
Kara Taylor

Special abilities: Telekinesis (which she uses for levitation as well), a mild form of telepathy
Personality: While Kara is usually a sociable and mature woman, she has this unnatural attraction toward everything that Loki embodies (mischief, chaos, intrigue, perhaps even a particular shade of madness). Humble and dedicated to her job, she is one of the fiercest defenders of peace that S.H.I.E.L.D. has seen thus far (it is probably why she has a closer friendship with Steve Rogers and Phil Coulson), although she can be highly adaptable and mold herself to the personality of the various people surrounding her, in her desire to try and get along with everyone.
Vanya

Occupation/Title: Crown princess to the throne of Alfheim
Special abilities: Seductive magic, manipulative magic
Personality: Proud and highly intelligent, Vanya is a woman who does not take no for an answer. As an only child, she was very spoiled and was never refused when she wanted something. Although it is unnatural for a Light Elf, she is quite inflexible and can come off as abrasive unless she has a certain interest; then she can be sweet and kind, even seductive, in order to reach her goal. Unexpectedly, her manipulative ways have gained her the love of her people, although she has sternly refused her parents' attempts at convincing her to let them arrange her marriage to Thor, in the hopes of creating a long lasting alliance between Asgard and Alfheim. Her refusal came as a result of the fact that the younger son of Odin has caught her eye instead.
Steve Rogers

Occupation/Title: Avengers member
Special abilities: Enhanced biological traits, near-immortality
Personality: Humble and caring, Steve is the paragon of a hero - selfless, just and courageous. As if to mock his near-perfect personality, fate has put him through many hardships in his personal life. After the death of the first woman he ever loved, Steve believed he had found a life partner in Kara, only to be brutally awakened to the reality that she had never stopped loving Loki.
But as the heart is never easy to sway, he too never stopped loving her even after her death. It was only years later that he finally found someone to help him move on, and offered him renewed hope that he too could ultimately live a happy life.
Astrid
Home realm: Midgard / Asgard
Race: Human / Jötun

Age: 10 (currently unkown; will change with the story)
Occupation/Title: Crown princess to the throne of Asgard
Special abilities: Developing magic affinity
Personality: A child of two worlds, Astrid has spent the first decade of her life on Asgard with her father. Though unable to fully control the mischievous streak she has inherited from Loki, she is turning out to be just as loving and kind as her mother. Although she has so far grown up believing her mother was away and enjoying Vanya's presence as a substitute, recently she has been faced with the reality of her mother's death. Currently she lives in Midgard with her aunt, waiting for her father and uncle to return from Helheim.
Hel
Home realm: Niflheim / Helheim
Race: Unknown / Jötun

Occupation/Title: Ruler of Helheim / Keeper of the Dead
Special abilities: Unknown
Personality: Despite the terrifying legends coursing the nine realms about her, Hel is in reality a tragic character - terribly isolated and incredibly lonely, she has become utterly bitter over time. To her fortune, Kara's arrival in her domain has slowly begun changing Hel to a milder, more compassionate being.
However, this does not mean that she is not still unpredictable and easily angered. Those who would stand before her should beware.
Odysseus

Occupation/Title: King of Ithaca
Special abilities: None
Personality: Though raised as any other Greek warrior Odysseus stood out in his time as a great hero, due to his intelligence and cunning, as well as through his devotion to his wife and son. Midgardian legends sing of the terrible journey he had to undertake upon returning home from the siege of Troy, as well as of the sea god's wrath and desire to kill him.
Upon arriving in Hel's abode he became one of her guardians; after Kara's arrival he took a liking to the young queen, for her kindness and compassion, and they became close friends - though, unbeknownst to him, Kara looks up to him as a mentor and perhaps even a father figure.
Soon becoming Hel's most trusted advisor, he received the task of guiding Loki's party safely to her domain; it was he that - after Hel imprisoned the group - released them in an attempt to help them regain his mistress' benevolence, in the hopes that she would return Kara to the world of the living.
Nidhoggr

Personality: At first glance, in spite of the terrible legends told of him in the nine realms, Nidhoggr appears to be a kind and warm soul; oddly so, given his dominion at the very center of Helheim where - in his dragon form - he continuously gnaws at the roots of Yggdrasill.
Said to have been born from the tree itself, he is in reality quite vain and vengeful, though not less cunning than Loki himself. The only one he sometimes bows to is Hel herself, as it seems he harbors an odd fascination for her, perhaps even bordering on actual love.
